5/22/2020 0 Comments May 22, 2020 Final Blog PostI just wanted to say that I am very thankful, and lucky to have been surrounded with amazing teachers and a great community at BHS. I am starting to realize this, and appreciate it more and more as my senior year is coming to an end. I have learned so many interesting concepts and have had many ideas stem off of what I was being taught in my Help Desk Class.
This week I continued with the HTML concept. I was getting more in depth with this language. I was reseaching random websites code. I first started by identifying the URL. Then I viewed the page source, from there many pages of code for this particular website showed up. I proceeded to pick a random line of code and Research the command before the code. I learned many HTML specific vocabulary words. https://www.w3schools.com/tags/ With all of that said I want to thank Mr. Leroy Wong, my technology teacher for all that he has taught us. He always keeps us in mind. No matter the time or day he always finds the time to reach out to us with helpful information, fun ideas, programs we can join. He uses his own resources to make sure we have all the supplies and equipment we need in class. The class has countless computers and gadgets. He loves his job and is very passionate and we all recognize that! Thank you and good luck with next years students!

5/8/2020 0 Comments May 8th Code.orgCODE.ORG This week I have been working on code.org for my Technology Business class. Code.org is a non-profit organization and eponymous website led by Hadi and Ali Partovi that aims to encourage people, particularly school students in the United States, to learn computer science. I have been working on coding basics such as making titles, headers, adding images, paragraphs, and other basic commands. Computer programming is defined as a process of developing and implementing various set of instructions given to the computer to perform a certain predefined task. Computer Programming is easy if it is appropriately managed. There are many computer programming languages available so finalizing the right language is not an easy task. Most important basic elements for programming languages are, Data Types, Variables, Keywords, Logical and Arithmetical Operators, If else conditions , Loops, Characters and Arrays, Functions, and Input and Output Operations. For my assignment I created my own website about myself, wrote a few paragraphs and added some headings and also added some pictures. I coded all of those aspects into my project. 5/1/2020 0 Comments May 01st, 2020Profit Loss Projections:
This week I am continuing my work on the business creation spreadsheet. In particular The Profit Loss projection. A profit and loss, or P&L, forecast is a projection of how much money you will bring in by selling products or services and how much profit you will make from these sales. You can also create your own forecast, using a basic spreadsheet. Google Applied Digital Skills gave me a short video to watch on how to properly set up the spreadsheet. I had to download a serrate spreadsheet from last week. I added my income streams and how much revenue I will make per month. Along with that, I did my gross profit. The main point for this spreadsheet was to make sure that you make more money than you spend. For example, on employees salary and expenses. Some issues I had this week were trying to figure out the format of the spreadsheet. I have not used many spreadsheets. As time goes on, one of my goals was to master the spreadsheet. |
